Mallory Sohmer

Mallory’s initial interest in production was sparked by a desire to work in socially conscious media. The Living Documents was completed in 2009 and aired on The Documentary Channel as well as various Central American television networks.  The film has been screened at festivals, universities and cultural venues across the US, Canada, and Nicaragua. This story, while being an intimate account of Maria Acosta’s personal experiences, also highlights the universal struggles facing human rights activists today.
